About us – 15 years of coffee experience, one goal: great coffee for Switzerland
How it all started
My name is Dario Santoro. I worked at Lavazza and then at one of the largest vending providers in Switzerland. In over 15 years in the coffee business, one thing always bothered me: good coffee products were either hard to find or massively overpriced. At the end of 2018, I therefore founded Espressa.ch – with a simple idea: to bring quality coffee directly, quickly and at fair prices to Switzerland.
From idea to GmbH
What started as a side business became the Espressa GmbH in 2020. Since then, we have been growing steadily. Today, we are a team of several people driving this vision forward together. We invested early in digitalising our processes – from purchasing and warehousing to shipping.
This sets us apart from many competitors: no manual detours, no outdated structures. The customer gets their coffee faster, and we keep quality under control.
Why Espressa is different
We are neither a wholesaler nor an anonymous marketplace. We personally know every product in our range – because we selected, tested and approved it ourselves. Our standard: only what we would drink ourselves makes it into the shop.
Thanks to direct imports from Italy and other countries, we cut out the middlemen. This makes us more agile, keeps prices fair and ensures our products arrive with a long best-before date.
600+ products
We currently carry over 600 products – from whole beans to ground coffee to capsules for all common systems. Plus tea, cocoa, sugar and accessories. Predominantly from Italy, as Italian coffee remains hugely popular in Switzerland.
Digitalised processes
From order receipt to shipment tracking – everything runs digitally with us. You always know exactly where your order stands. Order by 6:00 PM, same-day dispatch, next working day delivery throughout Switzerland.

We carry the Trusted Shops seal – for verified shopping security and transparent customer reviews. Our quality promise: we deliver products with the longest possible best-before date whenever we can.
Our warehouse and store in Dänikon
Since 2023, we have been based in Dänikon on over 400 m² of space – filled with coffee products from around the world. Our small store is open Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Come by, get advice and collect your order directly – subject to stock availability.

Our partners
We maintain close partnerships with roasters and manufacturers. We work particularly closely with Caffè Toraldo and Lucaffè – but many other suppliers also value the collaboration with Espressa.ch. We believe in flat hierarchies and friendly relationships. This helps us stay flexible and offer our customers exactly what they need.
In addition to direct sales to consumers, we also supply retailers in Switzerland who manage their own distribution through our services. Here too, digital processes ensure smooth collaboration.
