Product description
BUKOBA, a very special specialty coffee from Kaffee Küng, the traditional coffee roastery from Winterthur - run as a family business since 1920 and still freshly roasted by hand today
This specialty coffee is grown by small female farmers in Guatemala. The addition of Arabica beans from Brazil and Robusta beans from Tanzania gives BUKOBA its special, well-rounded taste. The medium degree of roasting means that espresso lovers get their money's worth. The result is a wonderfully strong coffee with a pleasant acidity, while retaining its exciting character.
About Küng Kaffee
Küng Kaffee has been roasting in Winterthur since 1920 — founded by Hans Küng and Josef Marti as a coffee and essence factory in the Grüze quarter. In 1952 the operation was converted into a large-scale roastery. Since 2021, Sabrina and Jocelyne Küng have run the company in the fourth generation.
Roasting still takes place at the historic site near Bahnhof Grüze. The blends stand out through careful green coffee selection and traditional roasting methods — Swiss coffee craftsmanship with over 100 years of experience. At Espressa, we carry selected Küng blends in whole beans for espresso and caffè crème.
