The Passionale capsules from Lavazza A modo Mio embody Italian espresso tradition in its purest form – an authentic interpretation of classic Italian espresso for the exclusive A modo Mio system.
This harmonious and intense espresso presents itself with a warm, amber-coloured crema and unfolds complex aromas of caramelised sugar and dark chocolate. The full-bodied character is carried by a gentle, smooth texture, while the long aftertaste leaves fine caramel notes and chocolatey nuances.
The blend consists of 100% high-quality Arabica beans from South America and Southeast Asia, which develop their full aromatic potential through an intense, dark roast. With an intensity level of 11, this espresso embodies Lavazza's passionate roasting artistry and the craftsmanship of Italian coffee tradition.
We recommend preparation as a classic espresso (40ml) or strong ristretto (25ml) at a brewing temperature of 90-92°C. The intense base is excellently suited for cappuccino or latte macchiato, as it maintains its characteristic chocolate and caramel notes even with milk.

About Lavazza A modo Mio
Lavazza A Modo Mio — Italian for "my way" — is Lavazza's home capsule system, introduced in 2007 by the Turin-based family company with over 130 years of roasting experience. Each capsule contains approximately 7.5 grams of freshly ground coffee, individually sealed in a protective atmosphere. The machines operate at up to 15 bar brewing pressure, extracting coffee with the crema and intensity of an Italian bar espresso. All A Modo Mio capsules are now industrially compostable — TÜV Austria certified to EN 13432, with a decomposition time of 90 days. The current machine generation, such as the Jolie Evo, uses up to 36% recycled plastic and plastic-free packaging.
The range extends from intense espresso blends to lungo options and the Tierra! line, which is produced CO2-neutral and supports sustainability projects in growing regions.
