Product description
The Lavazza Gran Espresso coffee pods embody classic Italian espresso tradition and have been specially developed for the E.S.E. system (Easy Serving Espresso). These compostable pods combine authentic barista taste with modern sustainability.
In the cup unfolds a balanced, full-bodied espresso with a golden crema. The aroma reveals rich cocoa notes, paired with pleasant black pepper spice. The taste is harmoniously balanced with medium roast intensity and a round, long-lasting aftertaste.
The carefully composed blend consists of 60% robust Robusta beans from Vietnam and Uganda as well as 40% high-quality Arabica beans from Brazil. This traditional Italian roasting of medium intensity ensures the characteristic flavor depth and excellent crema formation.
We recommend brewing as classic espresso (40ml) or strong ristretto (25ml) at a brewing temperature of 90°C. Thanks to the full-bodied base, this espresso serves excellently as a foundation for cappuccino or latte macchiato with its stable, golden crema.
Each of the 150 pods is individually packaged and guarantees optimal freshness until brewing. The E.S.E. compatibility ensures perfect extraction in all common pod machines. As a Swiss coffee specialist, espressa.ch only carries tested quality from trusted roasteries.
About Lavazza
Lavazza has shaped Italian coffee culture like no other brand. Founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza in Turin, the company pioneered the art of coffee blending — a technique that turned inconsistent single-origin beans into balanced, repeatable flavour profiles. Luigi Lavazza was also the first to use oil-proof Pergamin paper for packaging, preserving aroma far longer than competitors of the time.
Still family-owned after more than 125 years, Lavazza operates in over 90 countries with around 3,800 employees. The company covers the full spectrum from whole beans and ground coffee to proprietary capsule systems. At Espressa, we carry the complete Lavazza range — from classic Crema e Gusto to premium single-origin selections.
