Product description
The Lavazza Gran Espresso Intenso coffee pods embody over 125 years of Italian coffee artistry in practical pod form. This premium blend has been specially developed for longer espressos and offers the perfect portioning for full-bodied enjoyment with 7.2g of finely ground coffee powder per pod.
The sensory profile shows itself powerful and characterful: Intense roasting aromas of dark chocolate and roasted nuts dominate, accompanied by subtle woody notes and a hint of caramel. The full-bodied body with low acidity leads to a long-lasting, slightly smoky aftertaste with malty undertones.
The balanced composition of 60% Robusta beans from Asia and Africa as well as 40% Arabica from South America is processed according to traditional Lavazza roasting. This composition guarantees the typical Italian intensity with velvety crema formation.
We recommend these pods for a strong espresso with 60ml extraction volume - ideal as a morning pick-me-up or as a base for creamy cappuccinos. The optimal brewing temperature is 88-92°C for perfect aroma extraction.
Compatible with all E.S.E. pod machines (44mm diameter). Each pod is individually portioned for consistent quality. 150 pieces per package - carefully selected by espressa.ch as your Swiss coffee specialist.
About Lavazza
Lavazza has shaped Italian coffee culture like no other brand. Founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza in Turin, the company pioneered the art of coffee blending — a technique that turned inconsistent single-origin beans into balanced, repeatable flavour profiles. Luigi Lavazza was also the first to use oil-proof Pergamin paper for packaging, preserving aroma far longer than competitors of the time.
Still family-owned after more than 125 years, Lavazza operates in over 90 countries with around 3,800 employees. The company covers the full spectrum from whole beans and ground coffee to proprietary capsule systems. At Espressa, we carry the complete Lavazza range — from classic Crema e Gusto to premium single-origin selections.
