Lavazza Raises Prices Again – Even Italy Is Now Affected

The next round of price increases at Lavazza is approaching: Starting in May 2025, purchasing will become more expensive once again. This time, it's not only retailers outside of Italy – including us in Switzerland – who are affected, but for the first time, Italian customers as well.

While importers in Switzerland and other countries have already faced multiple price adjustments, Italian retailers and consumers have long benefited from special conditions. But that’s now coming to an end: Lavazza is adjusting its prices in its home market as well. This will have an impact not only on export prices but also on everyday coffee consumption in Italy itself.

The new pricing structure will apply across Europe, regardless of location. The reasons are well known: rising transport costs, volatile commodity markets, poor harvests in 2024 – and continued strong demand for premium Italian coffee.
